Rim is a Tunisian interpreter working in France on asylum procedures. Every day, she translates the stories of exiled men and women, whose voices raise questions about her own history.
Fatima Kaci is a French screenwriter and director who graduated from La Fémis. She wrote and directed the short documentary Terre d'ombre (The Cemetery) in 2021 and the short Pièces détachées (Spare Parts) in 2022. Her new short, La voix des autres (The Voice of Others) produced in 2023, was selected at the Cannes International Film Festival (La Cinef). She received the Lights on Women Award at Cannes from Kate Winslet, president of the jury. She is currently working on her first feature film.

Created in 1986, and under the directorship of filmmaker Michel Hazanavicius, La Fémis trains around 50 students a year in 11 areas of cinema: scriptwriting, production, directing, image, sound, editing, continuity, set design, exhibition, distribution and TV series creation. La Fémis produces around 60 shorts a year, selected by more than 100 national and international festivals. The courses are taught by working professionals.
