Julia and Tobias seem to be the perfect couple. Yet behind the facade and designer kitchen, trouble is brewing. Their fragile balance is shattered when their daughter Marielle suddenly develops telepathic abilities, giving her the power to see and hear everything her parents do, day and night. The couple soon realizes the lies they’ve been telling each other will not get past Marielle anymore.

Frédéric Hambalek is a German screenwriter and director. He won the Tankred Dorst Prize from the Screenwriting Workshop at the University of Television and Film Munich for his screenplay Der Polizist und das Mädchen (2018). He has also written for several television series. His short films have been screened at numerous international festivals. After his first feature film, Modell Olimpia (2020), he made What Marielle knows (2025), which was selected for the 2025 Berlinale.
