Robin sits at the reception desk of a hostel, as she does every day. She plays online chess to the monotonous melody of the lobby music. However, the pleasure of playing chess doesn't last long as various guests gather in the lobby and cause increasingly bizarre situations until Robin herself gets carried away by the absurdity.

Sina Lerf (1998), Dario Marti (2000), and Dario Boger (2003) all grew up in the German-speaking region of Switzerland. Following earlier education—such as Sina’s apprenticeship as a draftsperson and grammar school for both Darios—each completed a preparatory art course before enrolling at the Lucerne School of Art and Design. In their third year, they came together as a creative team and collaborated on their graduation film, Two Point Five Stars.
