A fire breaks out in the Amazon forest, and frightened animals flee their habitat to seek refuge on the other side of the river. Only a small hummingbird stubbornly continues to fight the fire when it spots a sloth and its baby trapped in the flames.

Born in Dunkirk in 1991 and a graduate of the École Pivaut, Morgan Devos works mainly as a layout designer for 2D animation studios based in Valence. La Légende du colibri is his first short film, inspired by an Amerindian legend that carries a message of hope. Through this film, he wants to raise young audiences’ awareness of ongoing environmental issues.
