After being expelled from school, fifteen-year-old Tarik is forced to leave his devoted single mother and moved to live with his estranged father and his family. Suddenly thrown into a world that feels both unfamiliar and overwhelming, Tarik struggles to find his place, caught between external challenges and an inner turmoil that quietly reshapes him. His journey becomes a test of resilience, leading him toward an unexpected life lesson.

Adem Tutić (b. in 2002) is studying film directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. His short fiction film Tarik (2025) won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Student Film at the 2025 Sarajevo Film Festival. His other works include the documentaries In My City, According to Islam and Tour de Strasbourg, and the short film Forty, which won the Bronze Egg at Kustendorf. He is currently developing his first feature-length documentary, Shahid’s Home, about a Moroccan migrant who survived violence on the Balkan route.
