Stroszek

Bruno Stroszek is released from prison. He meets Eva, a prostitute who is abused by her pimps. These two people, both battered by life, become friends and Bruno takes her in. But the pimps harass them and they decide to leave everything behind and go to America with old Scheitz, Bruno’s only friend. One of Bruno’s cousins runs a garage there and helps them settle in. But their hopes for a new life are soon shattered by reality.
