"Les Films du Losange, founded in early 1964 is more than a simple production company. It sees itself as an aesthetic movement linked to certain economic concepts. The ambition of Paris vu par... is to be its manifesto" (Barbet Schroeder). This collective film is marked by the simplicity, the casualness of a quick, cheap shoot. "What seems to come out of Paris vu par... is a new aesthetic of realism. In all the sketches, despite the deep originality of each director, there is a common determination: to show the environment, the social classes, the characters, without loading them down with partisan meanings, seeing things above and beyond the biased" (Barbet Schroeder).
