Mustafa Emin Büyükcoskun was born in Istanbul in 1988. He is a graduate of Cagaloglu Anadolu Lycee and currently studying History at Bogazici University. He shot his first short film The Sleep when he was student. He worked in Semih Kaplanoglu's films, Milk and Honey as the camera assistant. Sardunya is his second short film, produced with the support of Bogaziçi University Mithat Alam Film Center
