Judith is a young nurse who is devoted to her patients in a cancer ward. Roland sell hi-fi in a specialist shop, but his main passion in life is opera. A passion which rules his life. Not much room for Judith. Their couple slowly breaks apart, up until the day she is sacked form the hospital. That day everything changes... Not being able to find the space to tell him despite trying on several occasions, she closes herself away with her secret. He realises and begins to follow her. He then discovers that she is someone else, someone else he becomes crazy about.

Sophie de Daruvar graduated in sound and imagery at the Université Saint-Charles de Marseille. She then worked as a photographer before going on to teach photography at the Université de Saint-Denis. She made a documentary, Temps de pause, which won the Clé d'or at the Festival de Lorquin. After a doctorate in literature from the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Yves Thomas taught semiology at the Université Paris XIII. He also wrote screenplays, notably with Patricia Mazuy: Voleurs, Travolta et Moi and Saint-Cyr. In 1999 Sophie de Daruvar and Yves Thomas made L'Amour prisonnier for television. Rendez-vous avec un ange is their first feature.
