From the workings of prodigious machines to manual sorting work, the film shows the process of recycling, and the noise that accompanies the work becomes a beat. The sound of the factory becomes a steady rhythm, and a lorry driver begins to sing a song for his sweetheart. He wants to build an island out of the objects he has found, where they can be together.
