A son picks his father up from a psychiatric hospital and takes him home to his grandparents. The father tries to revive their relationship, but the son, like the grandparents, is indifferent to him.

Arnas Balčiūnas (b. 2001) is a Lithuanian filmmaker currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Film Directing at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where he also completed his Bachelor’s studies. In 2020, he graduated from the Skalvija Film Academy. His short film Blausos (2022) received the Silver Crane’s Egg for Best Student Film and was awarded Best National Film at the European Film Forum Scanorama. His 2024 film Hablo Dėsnis premiered at the Vilnius Short Film Festival and continues to screen at international festivals. His most recent short film, Past the Hill of Napoleon’s Hat (Pravažiavus Napoleono kepurę), is currently touring film festivals. In 2025, it received the Silver Crane Award for Best Student Film — the "Silver Crane’s Egg" — and won Best Lithuanian Short Film at the Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris. Alongside his creative work, he is actively involved in film education and is developing a new short film.
