Marcello has 24 hours to hand in an assignment on "what he wants to do later in life". But how can a 15-year-old plan what their life will be like? So when the opportunity to skip school arises, Marcello and his friends Nas and Wojtek skive off from school. They are quickly spotted, and the trio must face the consequences of their escape. Nas and Wojtek use Marcello as an alibi: what he wanted to do later in life was to kill himself. After all, his friends know that his life is a mess. But for Marcello, it is a revelation!

Rock Brenner has directed several self-produced short films full of black humour, which have been screened at the Fantasia Festival, the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival, Courts-Mais-Trash and the Valence International Festival. In 2017, he co-directed the self-produced feature film La Capitale du Bruit and in 2021 co-founded the Festival du Film de l’Est in Strasbourg. He is currently developing his first produced short film, Marcello se prend un train, with the production company Jabu Jabu.
