Kornél Mundruczó was born in 1975. He graduated from the University of Performing Arts in Hungary. He has made several short films, including Afta, screened in 2002 at Angers, and Jeanne d'Arc du bus de nuit (2003), presented at the Quinzaine des Realisateurs. His first feature film, Pleasant Days, was screened at Angers in 2003. Kornél Mundruczó finished his studies in 2004 at SFF in Budapest with Kis Apokrif no. 2.
