François Truffaut, an autobiography

François Truffaut drew a sort of auto-portrait across his twenty and one feature films. Everything he wrote, filmed and imagined passed through the filter of his emotions. He is the central figure in this documentary, constructed around documentation left by the filmmaker (interviews, images from shoots, photos, letters, screenplays...), alongside commentary by Catherine Deneuve, Woody Allen, Nathalie Baye, Jean-François Stévenin, Fanny Ardant, Arnaud Desplechin, Claude Berri, Jeanne Moreau, Steven Spielberg and Milos Forman. François Truffaut: an autobiography was screened at the 2004 Locarno festival.
