Vasile Todinca is a young filmmaker from Romania. He studied acting and directing at Babeș-Bolyai University, where he was mentored by Radu Jude. This led to him working as an assistant director on Radu Jude’s film Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn, among others. He directed the short film Try Again (2018), as part of his university degree, which was selected in Transilvania IFF and received the Best Script award at OKaua Festival, and the short film Jackpot (2024), co-directed with Vlad Popa, which was selected for Tallinn Black Nights IFF. He has also produced the short film The Bed of Procustes.
