Former burglar now wanted for organised crime activities, Michel Vaujour has always preferred flight to prison, adventure to submission, liberty to the law. Over the past 30 years, 27 have been behind bars – including 17 in solitary confinement – and he escaped 5 times before being released on parole in 2003. Although this intrepid life exposed him to the worst, it also enabled him to confront himself. Over time this flight became internal growth, an outlining of a philosophy where he had to overcome a certain idea of self, of life and of others. The film takes us on this initiatory journey.

More than a film about a gangster / convict, Fabienne Godet gives voice to a man who has succeeded in being reborn and liberating himself from the weight of the years, from concrete walls and who won his fight for life by obtaining in 2001 one of the biggest remissions ever seen in France.
