Image Call for composers for the Ateliers d'Angers

The 21st edition of Les Ateliers d'Angers will take place from Monday 19 to Saturday 24 January 2026.

In partnership with Sacem, a call for composers is being launched to participate in Les Ateliers d'Angers and the Festival's professional events.

Call open until Monday 17 November.

REGISTRATION FORM (in french)

Founded by Jeanne Moreau and the Festival in 2005, the Ateliers d'Angers aim to support the development of first feature films. Five filmmakers are selected to come and work on their projects at the Ateliers d'Angers. With the help of experienced professionals, the filmmakers have five days to perfect their artistic project through practical lessons related to the financial and technical conditions of first films. The focus is on screenwriting, directing, editing, acting, production or music, depending on the profile of the participants.

In order to raise their awareness of the creation of original music, a consultation on the musical aspect of cinema is offered to the five project leaders. Each consultation is individual and tailored to the stage of development of the project. This call for projects is open to composers wishing to become music consultants for Les Ateliers d'Angers.

The selected composers will also be included in the Festival's professional days, which are real highlights combining round tables, masterclasses and special meetings. This is an opportunity to present their work to professionals in the industry and to encourage exchanges with the young directors present in the various Festival selections.
