A feast for the eyes and a delight for the ears, Zeezucht (Jonas and the Sea) stands out as a real gem in animated cinema. This short film, reminiscent of an aquatic ballet, literally immerses us in the dream life of Jonas, a solitary character who is truly obsessed with the sea. Ever since he was a child, this anti-hero has longed for a calm and peaceful life among the fish. To make this impossible dream come true, Jonas has spent his whole life devising strange contraptions made from the various objects he collects while beachcombing. But with each new attempt, this seemingly utopian desire turns out to be nothing more than pure illusion."" (Mégane Bouron; benshi.fr)
