Investigating the disappearance of her mother, Mariana Otero tries to reappropriate her story by going back to where she grew up. The audience is witness to the gradual unveiling of a secret: "She was a painter, and as the secret [of her death] is revealed, I also reveal her painting", said Otero. In wanting to avoid the secret remaining in the family, she also succeeds in creating tension and a novelistic amplitude.
