13-year-old Marta comes back to live in the South of Italy after 10 years spent in Switzerland. Turbulent, her eyes shining bright, she observes life, paying attention to the sounds and smells, but still feels foreign. Marta is going to be confirmed and goes to catechism classes. She will be faced with the morals of the local Catholic community. From her first period to the brave decision to cut her hair, for the first time since her return to Italy, Marta begins to build her own life.
