Every summer little Salomé goes back to the family village, nestled in the Portuguese mountains, for the holidays. The holidays start off carefree, but her beloved grandmother suddenly dies. While the adults tear themselves apart over the funeral, Salomé is haunted by the spirit of the woman some considered a witch.

An actress by training, Cristèle Alves Meira started her career as a theatre director. She staged Les Nègres, Splendid's by Genet, Vénus by Suzan-Lori Parks at the Théâtre de l'Athénée-Louis Jouvet. She made her first documentary in Cape Verde, Som & Morabeza, where she raises the question of immigration in Portuguese- speaking communities in Africa through the theme of music, then through the prism of the social realities of Angolan youth in Born in Luanda. She then made two fiction shorts, a summer film and a winter film, in her mother's village of Tras-os-Montes: Sol Branco (White Sun) selected by Premiers Plans in 2015 then Campo de viboras, selected, among other, for Critics' Week and Premiers Plans in 2017. Her short film, Invisível herói (Invisible Hero) was screened at Critics' Week in a special screening and the following year in Angers. Her latest short, Tchau-Tchau, was made in 2020.
