Matys is an outsider who moved from Ukraine to Czechia with his sister in search of a better life. It turns out the situation there is not ideal either. A glimpse of hope comes when Matys manages to get a job in a cottage located in the heart of a splendid forest.
Vojtěch Novotný
Vojtěch Novotný was born in Prague in 1996. He has been interested in filming since childhood. After spending a year studying film at Charles University, he was admitted to FAMU, in the Directing department, and has studied there since 2017. His previous film Parole (2020) won the Ecumenical Jury Award for the best student film at the Molodist Kyiv Festival.
