Musical creation by Geoffroy Tamisier, freely inspired by Miles Davis' music for Louis Malle's film Ascenseur pour l'échafaud (Elevator to the Gallows).

This creation is loosely based on the iconic music of Elevator to the Gallows, originally composed by Miles Davis. It is not a reinterpretation but a new composition viewed from an angle where freedom of expression and creativity take precedence over simple reproduction. Taking inspiration from this soundtrack, we explore the nuances and atmospheres unique to jazz, while paying tribute to the dramatic intensity and poetic sound that characterize the original soundtrack of Louis Malle's film. The very Parisian atmosphere of the film is accentuated by an orchestration combining jazz and French impressionist music.
