Louise Bourgoin is a French actress and illustrator. She studied for five years at the Rennes School of Fine Arts before making her television debut in 2006 as a weather presenter on Le Grand Journal on Canal+, which brought her to the attention of the general public. She made her film debut in 2008 in Anne Fontaine’s La Fille de Monaco, a performance that earned her a César Award nomination for Most Promising Actress in 2009. Thanks to this recognition, she went on to take on a variety of roles: starring in Luc Besson’s Les Aventures extraordinaires d’Adèle Blanc-Sec (2010), Laurent Larivière’s Je suis un soldat (2016), and the series Hippocrate (2017–2023), which aired on Canal+. With more than thirty films to her credit, she continues to shine in both comedies (Emilie Noblet’s Bis Repetita, Pierre Mazingarde’s The Worst Mother in the World…) and auteur films by Thomas Salvador, Nicole Garcia, Joachim Lafosse, Samuel Theis, and László Nemes. At the same time, she has illustrated three books as an artist: two poetry anthologies published by Seghers in 2023 and 2025, as well as a children’s book, Moitoinou, to be published by Robert Laffont in September 2026. She directed her first short film in September 2025 with support from Talents Adami program.
