Samuel Collardey
36-year-old Dom is an ocean-going fisherman and he only returns to land a few days a month. Despite his long absences, Dom tries to run his own business and does everything he can to be a good father. Mailys and Mattéo, his two children, have their own experiences. One of them is unhappy and tries to force Dom to make a choice between the high seas and his family life.

Dominique Leborne, the main character in Tempête, encountered by chance scriptwriter Catherine Paillé, who was making a short in Les Sables d'Olonne. They became friends at a time when he was going through a change in his career. This is what made Samuel Collardey want to make a drama tinged with documentary. He said “I started with a true story, re-enacted by real people, and arranged it a bit for dramatic reasons. The shoot was spread over 10 or 11 months, which left us the time to think, the re-write, to re-direct the screenplay, to give more or less importance to certain characters”.
