Paris, a crowded underground train, an evening like any other. A woman bumps into a man, they argue. Very quickly, the electric current transforms... into burning desire. The two strangers leave the train and make love in a photo booth. Now the night belongs to them.

Une Nuit holds a secret. It makes you want to watch the film again immediately, like a marital version of The Usual Suspects. A revelation that will eventually unfold on a bridge in the early hours of the morning, between what is happening there and now, and a drama that is yet to come. Fluid, verbose and sensual, the result is a deeply moving thriller of emotions. Above all, it reinvents a great performer: Karin Viard, who displays absolute freedom under the knowing gaze of Alex Lutz. Both strong and frail, she shines. Thanks to her this film, with its Antonioni-esque title, could just as easily be called Identification of a Woman. Or of an Actress. (Guillemette Odicino; telerama.fr)
