Upon learning that a planned school trip was postponed due to financial constraints, high-school student Alem – an orphan who lives with his grandmother – decides to take matters into his own hands and secure the money for the trip in whatever way possible.

Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Irfan Avdić is currently studying for his MA degree in film and theatre directing. He has directed several short student feature films, two short documentary films and five feature-length plays. Film directors that have had a major influence on his work and personal understanding of film as an art form are Stanley Kubrick, Harmony Korine, Bong Joon-Ho and Hirokazu Kore-eda.
