Anche libero va bene (Along the Ridge) is the first feature of one of the most prominent Italian actors. As a child actor, Kim Rossi Stuart acted for Mauro Bolognini, Michelangelo Antonioni and more recently Michele Placido. With Anche libero va bene, his intention was to make a film about the family from the point of view of a child: “once you become an adult, for many of us life becomes more of a mental experience and less of a sensorial one. You no longer experience things with the magic fullness of childhood, with that sort of emotive three-dimensionality. This is what made us want to talk about this moment when the founding principles of life are posed”.
