Fanny is 17 and still finding her way. Shy and sensitive, she struggles to make friends her own age. When she goes to Germany on a language trip, she meets her pen pal Lena, a teenager who dreams of becoming politically active. Fanny is confused. To please Lena, she'll do anything.

The film was presented in competition at the Berlin Festival 2024. Claire Burger has been to Angers on several occasions, where she has presented her short films, including C'est gratuit pour les filles, which was shown at Cannes, won a César for best short film and won an award at Premiers Plans. With Marie Amachoukeli and Samuel Theis, they developed the script for their first feature film Party Girl, at the Ateliers d'Angers. The film won the Caméra d'or at the Cannes Festival 2024. In 2019, she previewed C'est ça l'amour at the opening of the Festival. She has also been a guest speaker at Les Ateliers d'Angers.
