Originally Jupiter's Moon was meant to take place in the future, but during the time it took for the film to be financed, reality caught up with fiction. “In my opinion, art based on actual events and political opinions is not very interesting, so when we reworked the script we tried to take a distance”. The film is like a fantasy super-hero film combined with an exploration of faith. Constructed like a pure action film, made up of an extraordinary sequence shot, Jupiter's Moon raises questions in an original way on the uncertain fate of refugees between two lands. “You don't even know if you are yourself, if you are now the person you were when you left, or if you have become someone else during the journey” (K. Mundruczó).
