Home is Franco-Swiss director Ursula Meier's first feature. “Home tells the story of a family which has distanced itself from the world, attempting to maintain its model of family happiness. There is a jovial atmosphere in the family, even if they have taken on a well-regulated life far from the world”, said Meier. “Home is not a road movie, but quite the opposite, the negative of one to a certain extent”. People “move” a lot in Home but without travelling. It is a sort of expedition without travel, a sort of interior, mental journey”.
