Amira, a seventeen-year-old student butcher, tries to master her desire for her classmate Benji. In order to find out how he feels, she asks him to sacrifice a lamb with her in accordance with Muslim ritual.

Born in 1980 in Lausanne, Isabelle Mayor is a director and programmer. In 2005, following a Masters in sociology and journalism at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), she started her career as an editor. During the 64th Cannes Film Festival she won a Beaumarchais SACD bursary and rewarded by the Jury mention for creation at the Valences Scriptwriters Festival writing marathon. In 2012 she made Stag in Hong Kong (self produced). A programmer for the European Medium Length Film Meetings, at Brive, Isabelle Mayor is also a member of ACID. Amira is her first short to be produced.
