With their mother's return uncertain, Baloo, a young teenager, and his siblings are left to fend for themselves. While they wait to be rehoused following the announcement that the Python-Duvernois housing estate where they live is going to be demolished, Diarra, the eldest in the family, tries to protect them from the truth. But Baloo is not fooled.

Hélène Ranawana was born in Paris in 1995. After studying cinema, she worked as an assistant director and casting assistant on Nora Hamdi's La Maquisarde. She has also worked on the feature film L'angle mort (Blind Spot) by Pierre Trividic and Patrick Mario Bernard, the series Irma Vep by Olivier Assayas and Une année difficile (A Difficult Year) by Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache.
