Demain il pleut

Anne-Céline Phanphengdy, Mélanie Vialaneix
2013 - France - 05mn

Screenings : saturday 27 - 8:30 pm - Grand Théâtre
In a little house lost in the middle of the moor, an old man lives an eventless life dreaming of exotic travels. But tomorrow it rains.
Demain il pleut was released in 2013 on a theme inspired by the Annecy International Animation Festival "the feet in the water, the head in the pictures". Narration is at the center of Mélanie Vialaneix's work. She uses the imaginary to talk about the real, compose spaces where the unreal dominates and gives way to daydreaming. It is a question here of the tale, of temporality, of the story, of dream worlds.
Her work invites you to immerse yourself in a contemplation of silent landscapes, which nevertheless release a narrative potential. The simplicity of their appearance, the modesty of their words seems to be only a delusion. It could hide a project of a completely different ambition: the possibility of escaping the adult world to rediscover the imagination of childhood.
