For his last day at the office, Grégoire introduces his new ninth grade intern to the rest of his computer graphics team, which is currently working on a groundbreaking aquarium/swimming-pool project. It might be the last opportunity for Grégoire to say goodbye to his colleagues before his retirement.

After studying cinema in Nantes, Thomas Petit joined La Fémis in 2014. The Dead Calm is his 3rd year film.

Created in 1986, and under the directorship of filmmaker Raoul Peck in 2010, La Fémis trains around 50 students a year in 11 areas of cinema: scriptwriting, production, directing, image, sound, editing, continuity, set design, exhibition, distribution and TV series creation. La Fémis produces around 60 shorts a year, selected by more than 100 national and international festivals. The courses are taught by working professionals.
