Mehdi Ben Attia(Tunisia) Project title : Le Fil- Production : Mille et une productions Mehdi Ben Attia received a Masters in Political Science at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, and also did postgraduate studies in Political Sociology before becoming a screenwriter. He has worked on projects as diverse as the H series broadcast on Canal + and Far Away by André Téchiné. He co-directed a short film, In Face, with Zina Modiano, with whom he also co-wrote the screenplay for La Vie privée. He is currently working on his first feature film Le Fil, with Mille et Une Productions.
Guillaume Brac (France) Project title : Un cas isolé- Production : Kazak Productions Born in 1977, Guillaume Brac studied at HEC before entering La fémis where he made several short films including Le Joli corpsand Le Funambule. After graduating in 2005, he directed the short Une aventure de Valentine, which screened at Premiers Plans. He is currently developing his first feature film project Un cas isolé, with Kazak Productions, while working as an assistant director (Parc by Arnaud des Pallières, Un baiser, s’il-vous-plaît by Emmanuel Mouret).
Agnès Feuvre(France) Project title : Entre chien et loup - Production : Why Not Productions Born in 1975, Agnès Feuvre studied screenwriting at La Fémis, graduating in 1999. Along with working as a screenwriter (she co-wrote A Christmas Story by Arnaud Desplechin and A Summer Day by Franck Guérin) she has directed two short films, Un état passager (2003) and A mains nues (2005), Grand Prize winner at the Festival de Pantin. Agnès has also worked as script supervisor on films by Olivier Assayas, François Ozon, Nicole Garcia, and Arnaud Desplechin. She is currently working on the screenplay for her first feature film Entre chien et loup, produced by Why not productions.
Nicolas Guicheteau(France) Project title : Eden Roc- Production : Shellac Sud Born in 1969. Nicolas Guicheteau studied cinematography at INSAS and graduated in 1994. He has worked as cameraman and DOP on numerous films (Itinéraires de Christophe Otzenberger, Nulle part terre promise de Emmanuel Finkiel…). His first film La Visite, a medium-length film, was screened at Premiers Plans in 2005, and released by Shellac Film, which is producing his first feature film Eden Roc.
Show Chun Lee (Taïwan) Project title : Shangai Belleville - Production : Charivari Born in 1968 in Taiwan, Show-Chun Lee received a PhD in Visual Anthropology at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and spent two years at the Studio National des arts contemporains in Fresnoy. She has directed several short films and documentaries, the most recent being Ma vie est mon vidéo-clip préféré (2004). She has also collaborated on several screenplays and worked as assistant director on Gamblers by Frédéric Balekdjian. This year she is taking part in Emergence with her first feature film project Shanghai-Belleville, produced by Charivari Films.
Teddy Lussi (France) Project title : Jimmy Rivière - Production : Kazak Productions Born in 1978, Teddy Lussi studied French literature before enrolling in La fémis to study screenwriting. While there he directed Embrasser les tigres (2005), which screened at numerous festivals. He has been teaching high-school French since 2005 while continuing to make films. In 2006 he directed the short Dans l’oeil and is currently developing his first feature film project,Jimmy Rivière, with Kazak Productions.
Nicolas Provost (Belgiium) Project title : L'Envahisseur- Production : Versus Nicolas Provost is graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Gent. After two years at the Art Academy in Bergen, Norway, Provost began working in Oslo as an illustrator, graphic designer and art director. In 1999, he became interested in film and began making shorts. Papillon d’amour, Bataille, Oh Dear, Exoticore, and more recently Induction have all won prizes at numerous festivals. Provost is currently developing the script for his first feature film The Invader, based on the main character in Exoticore, and produced by Versus Productions.
