The Angers Workshops, initiated by Jeanne Moreau, are directed toward young filmmakers with one or two short films to their credit and a first feature film in the works.
This training is designed to give them support as they take that crucial step into the world of feature films.
The Workshops will offer them:
Screenings and analyses of film classics from the past and present, as well as original working documents
Training with established filmmakers and technicians who will bring to the classroom their professional experiences and methods.
Development of their personal projects under the guidance of the attending instructors, with emphasis on specific questions concerning directing, working with actors, editing, sound.
For the previous editions of the Workshops, Jeanne Moreau, as artistic director, brought together as instructors a group of European film professionals:

- Composer and musician Riccardo Del Fra (On the run, An amazing couple, After the life, La Raison du plus faible…)
And also: visual effects specialist Christian Guillon (Podium, Trouble Every Day…), digital post-production specialist Franck Montagné, producer Alain Rocca (The Scent of Green Papaya, Hate, Marock), production designer Dan Weil (Nikita, The 5th Element, Syriana), sound mixer Gérard Rousseau (On the run, After the life, Laissons Lucie faire...) .
1-Screenings : Each day will begin with the screening of a film classic chosen and presented by a different guest instructor (European film classics, working documents…)
2-Masterclass : The guest directors and film professionals will elaborate on a specific aspect of their filmography
3-Lab works In the frame of private interviews, the young filmmakers will be able to engage the expertise of the guest instructors on specific questions concerning their own projects.
