Public readings of 5 first short film scripts

In collaboration with Adami and the Nisi Masa Association, the Premiers Plans Festival offers readings of 5 European short-film scripts, read by young actors selected by Adami as part of its programme “Paroles d’acteurs” at the 2004 Avignon Festival. The scripts were chosen among the winners of the 2004 Nisi Masa Script Contest, as well as among the projects sanctioned by this year’s plenary commission of the CNC.

Film music workshop
For the first time at Angers, the SACEM Cultural Division and the Premiers Plans Festival have put in place a film music workshop that will bring together two young directors and three young composers with previous experience in writing music for films.
Franco-German Film Academy
The forth edition of the Atelier/Masterclass will attend Angers to actively participate in the Premiers Plans Festival. During the Festival, the eighteen students, of German, English, Polish, Italian, Swedish, Austrian, and French nationality will participate in workshops designed to be part of their training. Moreover, they will be given opportunities to meet many of the producers of the films in competition and discuss with them the various aspects of the production of their films.
Direction masterclass with the Franco-American Cultural Fund
6 students selected with the support of organisms and cinema school, like La fémis, l’Ecole Louis Lumière, Le Conservatoire Européen d’Ecriture Audiovisuelles (CEEA), le Groupement de Recherches et d’Essais Cinématographiques (GREC), l’Ecole Supérieure de l’Audio Visuel (ESAV Toulouse) and la Maison du Film Court (MFC), will meet the American director Martha Coolidge and the production designer, James Spencer during 4 days of « Masterclass ».

Every day, the Festival gives the directors of the films in competition a chance to meet the public, respond to questions and share their experience.
In the Centre de Congrès, meet the directors of the European short an feature-lenght films, the very evening their films are shown at 9:45 and 11:45 PM, and the directors of the French short films and school films, the day after their films are shown at 10:00 and 11:00 AM
