Super16 is an independent film school run as an association of young filmmakers, based at Nordisk Film in Copenhagen. The name refers to the format, Super 16mm, but also to the composition of each class: 6 directors, 6 producers and 4 scriptwriters per year. We come from production companies, theatre companies, Danish Universities, advertising companies and other film schools. Super16 is run in our free time. The association was formed in 1999 as an independent collective of young filmmakers. Membership in the association is for 3 years and includes professional instruction organized by the members themselves. There are no leaders and there is no administration. General guidelines and future plans are discussed at collectively meetings.
