Light-hearted and jovial, Babou has never cared about social success. But she decides to conform when she discovers that her daughter is too ashamed of her to invite her to her wedding. Her maternal love is stung to the core, and Babou decides to sell time-share flats in Ostend, in the middle of winter. In the strangeness of this out-of-season seaside resort, she might be tempted to allow herself to live.
