Notre musique
Jean-Luc Godard
2004 - France - 80mn
Images of war. A filmmaker goes to the European Book Conference in Sarajevo. A young woman journalist, some intellectuals, some students, many conversations and many questions …
“Notre Musique (Our Music) looks at the site of a catastrophe which concerned Godard a great deal, and for which he created Forever Mozart in 1996: the war in Yugoslavia, and the genocide in Bosnia. Returning always means having to deal with losing the freshness of events. The need to dive back into the dark waters of time, like the stones on Mostar bridge destroyed by the bombing, and that are fished out and numbered, one by one, awaiting a hypothetical return” (Philippe Tessé)
