On the request of the police and the courts, two boys reconstitute an everyday scuffle for a short educational film meant to fight against drunkenness and violence in young people. All sorts of little incidents occur during the shoot…
In 1970, after the screening of his second film Reconstituirea (Reconstitution) at the Directors' Fortnight, Lucian Pintilie became the leading figure in the late birth of Romanian cinema. Pintilie hated the naturalism at work in Soviet countries and took advantage of this film to settle his accounts with the moralising official cinema which sheltered members of the corrupt administration and their lack of values. Throughout the film there are the comments of imaginary viewers as if it was a football match. The film was banned in Romania, meaning that Pinitilie had to work in France before De ce trag clopotele, Mitică? (Caranval Scenes) in 1979, which also incurred the wrath of the censors.
