Prevention and combating gender-based and sexual violence and harassment
We learned through the press of an extremely serious sexual assault (followed by a complaint of rape) that allegedly took place in Angers during an event held in parallel with the Premiers Plans Festival in January 2010. We were shocked and angered to hear this news, and we would first like to commend the courage of the person who spoke out.
The entire Premiers Plans Festival team wishes to reaffirm its zero tolerance policy on sexual and sexist violence. We are continuing to strengthen our fight against sexual and sexist violence by training our teams and developing tools to ensure the safety and respect of everyone attending our event. This is part of our commitment to pursuing a comprehensive policy of raising awareness and combating all forms of discrimination.
